Mautic Upgrade + Multi-SMTP Setup
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I’m running an older Mautic 1.0.5 instance on PHP 7.2.33 inside a VPS. I now need it lifted to the latest stable 4.x branch under PHP 7.4, with every core feature working and the new multi-user / multi-SMTP capability fully configured.
There are no custom plugins or code customisations to preserve, so the job centres on a clean, carefully sequenced upgrade. Before anything happens, I’ll need a full file-system and database backup stored safely on the server (and optionally delivered to me as a compressed archive).
Scope of work
• Create and verify the pre-upgrade backup.
• Perform each required interim upgrade step (1.x → 2.x → 3.x → 4.x) so the database schema migrates cleanly.
• Update PHP to 7.4 and adjust Apache/Nginx and CLI bindings if necessary.
• Reinstate working cron jobs for campaigns, segments, and email queues.
• Configure Mautic so different users can send email through their own SMTP details; confirm that sending and tracking both work.
• Post-upgrade housekeeping: clear cache, rebuild index, and test key features (login, contact tracking, form submission, campaign triggers).
Acceptance
I’ll consider the project complete when I can log in, create separate users, assign unique SMTP credentials to each, send test campaigns successfully, and see expected events in the logs without errors.
You’ll receive SSH/root access to the VPS along with current database credentials. Let me know your approach, estimated timeline, and anything else you need to get started.
