Deploy Code to VPS & Update yFinance API
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
My Python / Django project is production-ready; I just need it running reliably on my VPS and wired up to the newest yFinance API. You’ll start by preparing the server from scratch (creating a virtual environment, installing all required Python packages, configuring Gunicorn or an equivalent WSGI server, and wiring everything through Nginx or Apache for HTTPS access).
Once the stack is live, connect the application to yFinance, confirm the latest endpoint changes are handled correctly, and resolve any compatibility warnings that appear during import or runtime. I’m expecting a clean requirements.txt or Pipfile that reproduces the build, plus concise notes on how to redeploy if the codebase changes.
Key outcomes I will be testing:
• Public URL returns the Django site without errors
• Admin panel, static files, and database migrations all behave as expected
• yFinance calls succeed and populate the existing views/models
• Service automatically restarts on reboot and logs clearly
Share a brief outline of the deployment path you prefer and any questions you still need answered about the current codebase or VPS image; once we agree on the approach, credentials and source will be provided immediately so you can begin.
