Contabo VPS Website & Android Setup

Job ID: 39712374

Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR

I have completed the file-level migration of my website and its companion Android app’s API to a fresh Contabo VPS, leaving only the final server-side configuration and optimisation. The site is built on a proprietary stack—so it is neither WordPress, Joomla nor a simple static build—and I want it running smoothly under Apache on the new machine.

Here’s what still needs to be done:

• Finish the VPS LAMP configuration (Apache as the web server, plus any required PHP modules or other runtimes).
• Import the existing database, recreate user privileges and make sure connection strings point to the new host.
• Map domains, update DNS records and install/renew SSL certificates so the site is live over HTTPS.
• Deploy the backend services consumed by my Android app, verify every endpoint and resolve CORS or header issues that can arise after a platform switch.
• Harden the server (basic firewall rules, fail2ban or similar) and apply straightforward performance tweaks so the site and APIs respond quickly.
• Provide a short hand-off note summarising credentials you created or changed, paths you configured and any cron jobs you added.

I already have root access to the VPS; you’re free to work over SSH or through a control panel if that speeds things up. Once everything is functioning—website loading, admin area reachable, and Android app talking to the endpoints—I’ll consider the job complete.
