Productivity Monitor (Virtual Accountability Assistant via Google Meet) ($2 per hour)
Budget: $2 – $3 USD
I am seeking a reliable and flexible part-time assistant to support my focused work sessions by providing real-time accountability during scheduled one-on-one Google Meet calls.
The goal is to help me stay on task and avoid distractions through consistent visual monitoring and prompt feedback. Given the dynamic nature of my work, this role also requires flexibility with short-notice scheduling and variable daily availability. The exact schedule will be determined, usually the same day, at noon local time (mostly US Central Time).
Scope of Work:
- Join Google Meet sessions with your camera on
- Visually monitor my screen throughout each session
- Immediately notify me (by unmuting) if I open any non-work-related content
(e.g., social media or unrelated websites). At the same time, avoid unnecessary checking in if the screen is shared and I'm working well.
- Stay fully present and engaged for the duration of the session
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding anything observed during the sessions
- I may have my camera on, off, or switch between the two depending on what makes me most productive
- You are welcome to briefly stand or stretch or walk out if you feel physically uncomfortable
- Very short breaks (1–2 minutes) are allowed upon request
- Some breaks may naturally occur between work intervals and are built in
Performance Expectations:
- I may occasionally review your performance
- Failing to alert me to unauthorized activity is considered a breach of duty
and may result in termination
- Attention to detail, professionalism, and reliability are essential
Scheduling and Availability:
- My schedule is highly dynamic and typically finalized only a few hours before each workday
- Exact hours are usually communicated less than 12 hours in advance
- Most sessions occur between 12 PM and 6 PM local time (mostly US Central Time), sometimes starting as early as 11 AM
- Expect around three days per week, with sessions averaging two hours
- In some rare cases, we may mutually agree to extend a session depending on how we feel
- Either of us may cancel or reschedule a session at any time, with no penalty
- To check if you're a good time fit, make sure you're generally available between
11 AM and 7 PM CT, especially 12 PM–6 PM
Compensation Terms:
- Billing is based on the later of the scheduled start time or when you join the Google Meet
- Example: if the session is scheduled for 3:00 PM but you join at 3:10 PM, billing starts at 3:10 PM
- Sessions canceled 3 or more hours in advance should not be billed
- Pay rate: $2 per hour, paid according to our agreed schedule
Technical Requirements:
- Stable internet connection
- Working webcam and microphone
- Ability to join and use Google Meet
Contract Termination:
Either of us may cancel this agreement at any time.
Any hours already worked but not yet paid for must be compensated in full
