We are seeking a dedicated part time - (10 hours per week) Medicaid Compliance, Preauthorization, and Billing Specialist to ensure our compliance documentation is accurate and up-to-date, collaborate with insurance companies to secure preauthorizations for personal care services, and manage billing processes. This role is critical to maintaining regulatory standards, facilitating seamless service delivery, and ensuring accurate financial transactions for our clients.

Responsibilities

Maintain and organize all compliance documentation to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
Conduct regular audits of compliance records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain preauthorizations for personal care services.
Communicate effectively with insurance representatives to clarify requirements and expedite approval processes.
Update internal systems with authorization statuses and documentation.
Manage billing processes, including preparing and submitting claims to insurance companies and clients.
Verify accuracy of billing data and resolve discrepancies in coordination with insurance providers and clients.
Assist in preparing reports for regulatory agencies as needed.
Support the team in ensuring all client care plans meet compliance and insurance standards.

Qualifications
Preference to bilingual candidates (Spanish)
2+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, insurance preauthorization, billing, or a similar role.
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, insurance processes, and medical billing procedures.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, electronic health record (EHR) (EVV) systems, and billing software.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

We are expecting rapid growth and this role can turn into full time in the next 3-6 months.
