Martinez Exterior Front Entry

Our front door needs to be replaced (the left side is a flat door from the 60’s that is “false”. The back side is a coat closet. Only the right hand door opens.). We would like to update the entry and covered porch, and can’t envision changes without a design showing the update options. Wonder if the accent white brick needs to be painted or removed, or if it can be worked into new design. Interested in possible rustic modern design.
