Urban Rainstorm Footage Needed
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
I’m gathering authentic rain material for my YouTube channel and need videographers who can brave real weather, not rely on VFX. The assignment is to capture heavy downpours and full-on thunderstorms—with visible lightning strikes—inside an urban environment. Think soaked streets, reflections from neon or traffic lights, rolling thunder echoing between buildings, and the occasional flash that lights up the skyline.
What I’m after
• Clean, steady 4K (or at least high-bit-rate 1080p) footage showing continuous heavy rainfall and, when nature cooperates, lightning.
• Natural sound recorded on-location—the hiss of rain, rumbles of thunder, water hitting metal surfaces, passing cars splashing through puddles.
• Clips long enough for editing flexibility; aim for 30–60 seconds per shot, several takes if the storm lasts.
• Filmed exclusively in genuine outdoor urban settings—streets, rooftops, alleyways, public squares—no studio rain rigs.
Acceptance criteria
• No camera shake or rolling-shutter wobble; a locked-off tripod or well-executed gimbal move is fine.
• Raindrops and lightning must be clearly visible without blown highlights; audio free from clipping.
• Deliver ungraded MP4, ProRes, or similar high-quality files plus separate 48 kHz WAV tracks if you record dual-system sound.
• Include a brief slate naming location, date, and approximate time of each take.
Stay safe—only shoot if conditions allow you to keep equipment (and yourself) protected. Once you have raw clips ready, send a low-res preview; I’ll confirm selections before you upload the masters. Looking forward to seeing real storms on your city streets.
