Interview Documentary Filming Support

Job ID: 39826645

Budget: $750 – $1,500 CAD

I’m putting together a personal documentary that will be built almost entirely around sit-down interviews, and I need an experienced videographer who can capture them cleanly and creatively. The plan is to film a series of conversations over two days at a quiet indoor location I’ve already secured. I’ll handle scheduling and questions—your focus will be on visuals, sound, and ensuring our subjects feel comfortable on camera.

I’m aiming for a classic interview-based look: key-light, fill, and back-light set-ups; eye-line just off lens; and plenty of crisp B-roll to bridge stories. If you normally shoot with a full-frame mirrorless or cinema camera (Sony FX, Canon C-series, Blackmagic 6K, etc.) and can bring matching lavs or a boom for clean audio, that’s perfect.

Deliverables I’m expecting:
• RAW or lightly graded 4K footage of every interview angle and B-roll clip
• Separate high-quality audio tracks in WAV format
• A quick reference proxy or time-coded log so my editor can jump right into post

If you also enjoy tossing in a few handheld or slider shots for added texture, let me know—there’s room for creative flourishes as long as we keep the focus on the stories being told. Shooting dates are flexible within the next four weeks, so please mention your available windows and the gear package you’d bring.

Looking forward to collaborating with someone who understands the pacing and intimacy of an interview-driven documentary.
