Educational Skit in Ethiopia
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
Hello, I am in the early research phase of a potential video production project and am seeking quotes from Ethiopia-based freelancers to understand market prices. Work is expected to start in December 2024, but there is a possibility that funding may not be approved, so please consider this when providing a quote.
The project involves producing 30 short videos, each ranging from 1 to 5 minutes in length, with a total post-edited video time of approximately 2 hours. These videos will be filmed in the Oromo region of Ethiopia (exact city to be determined later) and will focus on conversational scenes to support learning the Afaan Oromo language. Scripts will be provided.
Each video will require 2-4 actors, and hiring actors must be included in your quote. Importantly, the actors must remain consistent throughout all videos, as they will be used to build a continuing story and audience familiarity.
Additionally, please include the costs for subtitling, post-editing, and any other related expenses in your bid. Payments will be made progressively as videos are successfully completed.

Key requirements:
- Filming on-site in the Oromo region (location TBD).
- Simple intros with fade-ins and outros with fade-outs.
- No music required, only clean audio.
- Subtitles delivered separately in .STL, .SRT, or .VTT files.
- Basic editing, no animations, with minimal post-production.
- The project must be completed in under 1 month once started.
Only freelancers based in Ethiopia will be considered, and the cost of hiring actors and all other services should be included in the quote.
