Hi! We are looking for freelances who has the following requirements to participate in a video collection project:
Requirements:
Dialect should be but not limited to US West Coast Region:
State: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Mississippi and Alabama.
Age Bracket: 18-24

Device: iPhone 11 or newer with ultra-wide setting
Application Process:
Step 1. Freelancer will need to choose their Skin tone (per Fitzpatrick scale)
Step 2. Please check this link to identify your skin tone:

Step 3. Please send us a 1 to 2 min video introduction about yourself. Tell us your name, age, the province where you grow up in the US Central region and mention your skin tone ( use Loom which is already available in Upwork).

Project Details:
Part 1. Registration profile (15 images and 5 videos) – To take photos: Images taken will be headshots taken from different angles and the videos are 8-20 seconds in length taken inside the home of you saying a phrase.
Pay Rate: $10.00
Part 2. Minimum of 10 scenario videos (duration: 8-20 seconds) per participant are required. Specific scenarios for the video will be provided. (Eg. Sit in front of the TV with the TV on and say a sentence with three key words)
Pay Rate: $2.20 per video
Minimum of Part 2: 10 videos
Maximum of Part 2: 10 videos
Collection Guidelines:
• Data will be collected in a home environment (where TV is watched)
• TV must be off unless script says so
• Volume of TV must be in natural range (as long as you can hear participant’s commands)
• Obtain video samples of living room scenarios involving 1+ people speaking to each other and to a device positioned 2-3 meters from them and facing them in the manner further set forth in the scripts.
• Devices will be set up near or against a TV in Participant’s home (at a maximum of 1 to 3 meters from the TV) and the environment will include natural settings (such as video, side conversations, and normal settings for watching TV) to the extent possible.
• 50/50 split for collection of single and multi-user.
o Single user – participant is by themselves in the video
o Multi user – participant has someone else from their household register and participate with them
Quality (acceptance criteria):
• Clear and stable video
• Landscape and ultrawide required for all videos
• HEVC format not acceptable
• 8-20 seconds are the acceptable range/duration
• No PII
• No mirrors
• 1080p or above
