HD Livestream XR Sunglasses
Budget: $10 – $50 USD
I need a lightweight pair of XR-style sunglasses that pair seamlessly with a smartphone, record in HD, and push a live feed straight to YouTube and Instagram. The wearer should be able to keep the glasses on for an entire party, receive SMS or Messenger pop-ups that guide them to the next venue, then hand the raw footage over for quick social edits or go live on the spot.
Scope of work
• Hardware concept (camera module, mic, battery, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi) built into a fashion-forward frame.
• Mobile companion app that handles pairing, HD recording, and one-tap livestreaming to YouTube and Instagram.
• Simple HUD or audio cue for incoming directions (SMS/Messenger).
• Continuous runtime of several hours with hot-swap or fast-charge options.
• Clean video hand-off: automatic cloud upload or direct transfer for post-event editing.
Acceptance criteria
1. Working proof-of-concept glasses that record 1080p video and stream reliably for at least one hour without overheating.
2. Smartphone app (iOS or Android) that can:
– Start/stop recording and livestreaming.
– Display or read out SMS/Messenger directions.
– Export clips or push them to cloud storage.
3. Demo showing live broadcast to both YouTube and Instagram.
4. Full BOM, CAD, and firmware source so iterative improvements can follow.
If you already have a suitable off-the-shelf module we can customise, let’s accelerate by adapting it; otherwise, ground-up design is fine as long as all four criteria are met.
