Video branding guidelines
Budget: €18 – €36 EUR
Hi, I'm looking for a graphic designer who can think in motion. You hear that correct - I'm not looking for a motion designer specifically.
For my video production clients, I'm looking for someone who can co-create video branding guidelines (with me).
In most cases, my clients have an existing corporate identity manual, but guidelines for video are missing. In case the client has the regular manual, you will use it to create ideas for the video identity part. If there is no manual, you use their website or other graphical assets they have for inspiration.
I want you to design them in Adobe Illustrator, so an animator can convert them into animations in Adobe After Effects.
Important: I only create LIVE video, with live people (foremost in a studio environment).
Some examples of what you have to create:
- Intro/outro cards (What does the intro of an explainer video or masterclass look like. Is it the logo that fades in/out?)
- Pop-ups for Call To Actions (What does the visual look like to ask viewers to subscribe to their channel? Or How does a pop-up look like when in the middle of the video they ask to enroll in a course?)
- Narrative supers (If a client wants informative text/keywords/sentences during a video, what do they look like. and where should the be positioned in the image?)
- Thumbnails for YouTube (If we need a photo cut-out of a person, I want you to give an example of what that should look like).
- Transitions between chapters with info cards/pancartes... (if the video is a 20-minute masterclass, what does a chapter card look like? Does it cover the full screen? How is it composed with a title, icons, etc?)
- Adding an image to a interview video (if a person is talking about a book e.g. in a video, and it has to be added next to the person, what will that look like?)
- Using live footage with slide decks (If a client wants to use a slide-deck in a video for a course, but they want to see both the slide-deck ánd the person, what are the proportions? How can we add the identiy of the client to the background e.g?)
- How to squeeze the assets from 16:9 video into 9:16 or 4:5 for Instagram (for most clients, videos are created in 16:9 aspect ration. How do we crop this into a 9:16 format? Do we add colored layers on top/bottom with subtitles?)
- Usage of icons (if the client has those in their branding, how can we use them in videos?)
...
These (static) graphical assets will be put into a video branding guideline document (PDF) in combination with descriptive text (created by a copywriter).
My clients typically are companies who need a serious branding, non-playful. Think lawfirms, wealth management businesses and other financial institutes, tech-startups, etc.
Please have a look at some examples attached to this request.
