Expert YouTube Video Editor Needed for High-Quality Content (View Pricing structure before applying)

We are looking for an expert YouTube video editor with proven experience creating engaging, high-retention videos for YouTube. The ideal candidate understands not only editing, but also storytelling, pacing, audience retention, platform trends, and YouTube content strategy.
This role is for someone who can take raw footage and turn it into polished, professional videos that keep viewers watching from start to finish.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for editing YouTube videos from raw footage into finished, upload-ready content. This may include:
1. Cutting and arranging footage for strong pacing and flow
2. Creating engaging intros and hooks
3. Adding captions, subtitles, text overlays, sound effects, music, transitions, zooms, and visual effects
4. Improving viewer retention through strong storytelling and editing structure
5. Color correction and audio cleanup
6. Adding B-roll, graphics, memes, images, motion graphics, and other supporting visuals where needed
7. Following brand style, tone, and content guidelines
8. Creating edits optimized for YouTube audience engagement
9. Exporting videos in the correct format and resolution
10. Making revisions based on feedback
Potentially creating short-form clips for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, or other platforms
Requirements
The ideal candidate must have:
1. Proven experience editing YouTube videos
2 A strong portfolio or examples of previous YouTube work
3. Excellent understanding of YouTube pacing, retention, and storytelling
4. Ability to create clean, professional, engaging edits
5. Experience with software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or similar
6. Strong attention to detail
7. Ability to meet deadlines consistently
8. Good communication skills
9. Ability to follow instructions while also bringing creative ideas
10. Experience editing videos in styles such as talking-head, vlog, documentary, educational, entertainment, podcast, faceless, or commentary videos
Preferred Skills
These are not required, but would be a plus:
1. Experience creating viral-style YouTube edits
2. Experience with motion graphics
3. Thumbnail design experience
4. Knowledge of YouTube analytics and retention graphs
