Editing videomaterial for a youtube and youtube short video

I have approx. 6 minutes of video material of my son performing some experiments in a scientific enviroment. I want to make two videos from the material: 1. A youtube video of approx. 2-3 minutes and 2. a youtube short video of 30-45 seconds. One or both of the videos might be backed with music (if you think that it makes sense).
