One day Mother Parvati was going to take a bath, but there was no one to watch her. He created a boy and told him not to let anyone inside the house until he took a bath. They named that child Ganesh. After a while Shiva ji came back.
He was surprised to see Ganesha. Ganesh also stopped them from coming inside. Shiva got very angry. He sent his vehicle Nandi to pick up the boy, but Ganesha defeated Nandi. In anger, Shiva cut off the head of Ganesha.
When Parvati came out after taking a bath, she found her son dead. She got very angry. Shiva started to explain to them but Parvati Maa continued to cry. He asked Shiva to revive his son by all means.
Shiva asked Nandi to bring the head of a living being who is sleeping in the opposite direction of his mother. Nandi obeyed their orders and when they started looking for any creature, they found an elephant baby who is sleeping in the opposite direction from its mother, so Nandi ji brought the head of that elephant baby. Shiva put the elephant's head on the head of Ganesha and revived him.
