London Social Narrative Music Video
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I’m gearing up to shoot my next music video in—or within easy reach of—London, Ontario, and I need a director who can bring a strong, story-driven concept to life. The song lends itself to a social narrative: everyday people, quiet struggles, small victories, all woven into a cohesive arc that feels authentic rather than staged. Think cinéma-vérité meets polished music-video aesthetics; the performance moments should emerge naturally from the storyline instead of breaking it.
Here’s the vision:
• Story-driven structure, no abstract cut-aways—every scene moves the narrative forward.
• Core theme: social reflection. I want viewers to see themselves in the characters and feel the journey.
• Location: London, Ontario, or nearby spots you already know can double for urban backdrops, community spaces, and transitional moments (streets, cafés, transit, maybe a rooftop sunrise).
• Crew: Lean is fine as long as we capture cinematic quality—run-and-gun setups, natural lighting where possible, with the option for controlled interiors.
• Deliverable: a 3–4 minute finished video in 4K, color-graded and ready for YouTube/VEVO, plus a short 15-second cut-down for social teasers.
I’ll bring the track, basic story beats, and talent; you guide shot-listing, directing, on-set problem-solving, and post (editing, color, light VFX if needed). If you’re comfortable handling both production and post, great—otherwise, let me know your preferred collaborators.
Send over links to previous story-based music videos or short films that highlight your narrative instincts. Let’s capture something honest, moving, and visually memorable for release later this season.
