I’m wrapping up a longer documentary of an orchestra made by university studentes and now need a 1-to-2-minute, inspirational behind-the-scenes piece that captures the production by students. You’ll have access to all raw footage and multiple camera angles.
Your main storytelling anchor should be the studentes recording the interviews with the musicians—those candid, emotionally charged sound bites where they talk about nerves, passion, and collective purpose. Use them to weave an uplifting arc that builds anticipation for the full film.
Flow I have in mind
• Open with an establishing shot of the concert hall waking up.
• Intercut musician interviews with quick glimpses of rehearshals
• Land on a hopeful, resonant note that invites viewers to watch the hard work of students.
Key points
• Tone: keep inspirational and experimental—warm colour grade, tempo-matched cuts, subtle cinematic text overlays.
• Length: strict 60–120 seconds; pacing is crucial.
• Music: underscore with a light instrumental stem from the orchestra recording session (provided).
• Assets will arrive as ProRes 422; please deliver the finished video in 1080p H.264 and share the editable project file (Premiere Pro welcomed).
Acceptance criteria
1. Final cut runs no shorter than 60 s and no longer than 120 s.
2. At least three distinct musician interview lines are clearly featured.
3. Audio levels balanced to broadcast standards; dialogue must peak below –3 dBFS.
4. Colour grade consistent across all shots, no visible banding or flicker.
5. Delivery includes master file plus project file and any LUTs or music cues used.
