I’m putting together a batch of short-form promotional videos and need a creative editor who can make every second count for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Each clip has to open with a punchy hook that stops the scroll, lean on smooth-fade transitions (my preferred style), and carry animated captions that stay on-brand while remaining easy to read on mobile screens.
Beyond that, I want the edits sprinkled with trending effects and synced to energetic, royalty-free music that won’t raise copyright flags. For YouTube Shorts, an eye-catching thumbnail is essential so viewers tap instead of swipe past.
You’ll optimize everything for maximum engagement, export in crisp 1080×1920, and hand over the editable project files so I can tweak text or swap footage later without starting from scratch.
Deliverables:
• Ready-to-post Instagram Reel and YouTube Short for each video
• Custom 1280×720 thumbnail for every Short
• Editable project files (Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent) including caption layers
• Separate caption file (.srt) if captions aren’t burned in
Acceptance criteria:
• Strong hook within the first three seconds
• Predominantly smooth-fade transitions; any other style used only when it enhances the story
• Captions large enough to read on a phone at arm’s length
• No copyrighted music or visual assets
