Concert Close-Up Camera Operator Needed

I’m putting together a multi-camera team for an upcoming live concert and need an operator whose specialty is tight, expressive close-ups of the performers. This is an event shoot inside a medium-sized music venue, so you’ll be working in a fast-paced, ever-changing lighting environment where quick thinking and precise framing matter.

You’ll be responsible for:
• Bringing and rigging your own camera and support gear that can deliver clean, stabilized close-ups under concert lighting (think constantly shifting LEDs, spots, and back-light).
• Staying locked on musicians’ faces, hands, and instruments so the director always has dynamic cut-ins to mix with our existing wide and crowd angles.
• Coordinating with the FOH lighting and video team before doors open to dial in exposure, white balance, and any color-matching tweaks.
• Handing off properly labeled footage cards or a single SSD dump immediately after the show; ProRes, DNx, or high-bitrate H.264 are all acceptable as long as the files are clean and ready for post.

Acceptance criteria:
1. Footage stays sharply in focus on the featured performer with minimal roll-off.
2. No clipped highlights or crushed shadows despite concert lighting shifts.
3. Audio isn’t mandatory, but ambient scratch track is a plus for sync.
