CRAVE: Conception of a Dark Fantasy Scene
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
The first sequence I would like to develop is not a trailer. It is a cinematic proof-of-concept scene from my television series CRAVE.
CRAVE is a dark fantasy horror drama set in the Kingdom of Salazar, a medieval world devastated by a disease known as the Love Plague.
The Love Plague causes infected people to develop an uncontrollable craving to consume the people they love most.
For this test, I want to create the Barn Sequence.
SCENE OVERVIEW
Jake, a blacksmith, has begun showing symptoms of the Love Plague.
The King has ordered anyone infected to end their lives immediately to prevent them from killing their loved ones.
Jake refuses because his wife Anna believes there must be another way.
As the cravings become harder to control, Jake locks himself inside his blacksmith barn to protect Anna.
A violent storm rages outside.
Anna misses her husband and decides to visit him.
When she arrives, she discovers the barn door has been locked from the inside.
She pounds on the door but receives no response.
Desperate, she finds an axe near the woodpile and begins chopping through the wooden door.
Inside the barn, Jake appears normal.
He works alone at the forge surrounded by fire, smoke, sparks, and shadows.
The audience only sees him from behind.
He hears the sound of Anna chopping through the door.
Slowly, he turns.
For the first time, we see his face.
The Love Plague has begun changing him.
His eyes reveal both love and hunger.
He is horrified by what he is becoming.
Anna finally breaks through the door, reaches inside, unlocks it, and enters the barn.
She walks toward Jake.
The audience understands the danger before she does.
The scene ends with Jake struggling to maintain control while Anna realizes the truth.
GOAL
I am not looking for a generic AI video.
I want a filmmaker who can create an emotionally devastating scene that feels like a real television series.
The sequence should emphasize:
• Emotional storytelling
• Suspense
• Character performances
• Cinematic lighting
• Horror through emotion
• Realistic atmosphere
• Professional sound design
• Prestige television quality
VISUAL REFERENCES
• The Last of Us
• Kingdom
• Game of Thrones
• The Road
