Restore Critical Academic MP4 Footage
Budget: $10 – $50 USD
A single MP4 that contains footage for my academic project has suddenly become unreadable—every player I try simply returns “File is corrupted.” I need the video repaired so it plays flawlessly again and can be included in my submission.
The job is straightforward: diagnose the damage (index issues, missing moov atom, codec header problems, etc.), reconstruct the file, and return it in standard H.264/AAC MP4 format with the original resolution and audio intact. Feel free to use whatever toolset you trust—FFmpeg, VLC command-line tricks, Stellar Repair, hex editing, or your own scripts—so long as the final clip opens normally on both Windows and macOS.
Acceptance criteria
• Repaired MP4 plays from start to finish without glitches or frame drops
• Quick preview or short screencap proving successful playback before full delivery
Deliverables
1. Fully restored MP4 file
2. Brief note explaining the fix so I can document the process in my report (nothing elaborate, just key steps or tools used)
Time is critical because the project deadline is approaching, so a fast turnaround will be highly valued.
