MXF Video Server and Converter Development

With the increasing importance of managing and distributing video content, we are currently developing a video server that can play MXF files and convert and output them to HD-SDI. We have requested the assistance of a freelancer with specialized knowledge.

Details of the request:
We will implement MXF file playback functionality and build a system that can output the video signal in HD-SDI format. Specifically, we will be responsible for everything from requirements definition to design, development, and testing. We would also like you to provide implementation support after release.


Simple Video Server Specifications
- Development of a PCI Express board to convert HD-SDI input signals to MXF file format
- Requires MPEG4 compression

- Video Format: HD-SDI: 1080/59.94i
- Video Input: HD-SDI: BNC x 1
- Video Output: HD-SDI: BNC x 1
- Genlock Input: BB (NTSC), Tri-Level Sync: BNC x 1
*Server chassis provided by our company (MEC). Trial use is negotiated separately.

[Operation]
- Ability to play MXF files of HD video edited with editing software such as EDIUS
- Ability to save SDI input video as MXF (1ch)
- Ability to play the next file continuously without interruption
- Ability to transfer files to and from an external NAS during playback
- Ability to have remote control functionality
(Preferably Sony 9-pin remote protocol or proprietary commands are acceptable)
