Build a Personal AI Video Repurposing Tool for Short Videos, Captions, Thumbnails, and Analytics
Budget: $300 – $400 USD
I need an experienced software developer or development team to build a personal/internal-use AI video repurposing tool. The first version of the program should be a local desktop app or local web app that runs on my computer. The tool should let me import long-form videos from my computer, transcribe them with timestamps, use AI to find strong short-form clip moments, let me review and approve the clips, and export finished vertical short videos with captions, hook text, and simple branding. The finished videos must be exportable in either 4K or 1080p, and I need a settings area where I can choose which video output resolution the program should use.
I would like this completed in 2 weeks or less.
The program should also help create the assets needed to post the content online. For each video or short clip, it should generate titles, captions, descriptions, hashtags, calls to action, and product-link text for multiple short-form video, image-post, and business-content platforms. It should also create or suggest thumbnail/cover images, pull screenshots or still frames from videos, add short title/hook text, and create image post versions for different platform formats. The first version does not need automatic posting, customer accounts, subscriptions, payment processing, public SaaS hosting, or complex user permissions.
I am looking for someone who has experience with AI APIs, transcription, video processing, FFmpeg, image processing, captions, text overlays, local file workflows, and simple dashboard design. The final app should organize each project into folders with the original video, transcript, clip suggestions, exported shorts, thumbnails, image posts, post text, and a manual posting checklist. It should also allow basic manual performance tracking later, such as views, clicks, leads, signups, sales, and notes, so AI can recommend what topics, hooks, thumbnails, and posts to make next. Please explain your recommended technology stack, estimated cost, estimated timeline, whether you would build this as a desktop app or local web app, how you would handle 4K and 1080p video exporting, and confirm that you will provide all source code, documentation, and setup instructions.
