video editting davinci resolve
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I'm seeking an editor familiar with Davinci Resolve and possibly DaVinci Resolve Project Server.
I create long format painting tutorials for Patreon. Typically I record three camera angles, compound and multicam the footage. A typical video starts with about 100-120 minutes worth of painting, but after cutting out dead space, it gets whittled down to 60-70 minutes. In the edit, I prioritize:
-Alternating the camera angle depending on whether I am talking to the camera, mixing on my palette, painting, and also showing the scene/reference.
-Keeping a medium pace to the video, removing umms and ahs, taking out parts where I misspoke and corrected myself. I hide this through simple jumpcuts/ camera angle changes
-In some passages when painting without speaking for an extended period, cutting up the clip to take 2-10 seconds of actual painting (when my brush is actually making a mark) and jumping ahead of the footage, to help keep the pace of the overall video
Overall, it is very simple, but very tedious work. I record the footage in Log, so there is also a minimal amount of color grading, as well as basic audio correcting that might also be required, I am interested in either a rough cut or a fully polished edit. This would be the first time I've hired a video editor, but my Patreon has grown to a point where it is something I can consider. I usually make one such edited video a month.
In the link to one of my youtube videos below, I selected and compiled a few sections of what was a much longer edit for the Patreon. The Patreon videos don't include an intro, outro, or music, but the editing is very similar.
