I'm looking for a talented video editor with experience in creating dynamic, engaging, and fast-paced YouTube videos for a youth audience. The focus will be on editing gaming-related content, with a creative flair that captures the energy and style popular with younger viewers. You should be familiar with the latest editing trends on YouTube, particularly for gaming channels, and know how to make videos that are fun, exciting, and attention-grabbing.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit gaming videos for YouTube with a strong focus on youth appeal (energetic cuts, transitions, memes, sound effects, etc.)
Create engaging video intros, outros, and special effects that suit the gaming niche
Incorporate popular trends, music, and visual elements to keep content fresh and relevant to the target audience
Ensure smooth flow of content by trimming and compiling raw gameplay footage, adding commentary, and syncing audio
Add engaging on-screen text, animations, and memes to boost engagement
Optimize video length and pacing to maximize viewer retention and engagement
Collaborate with the content creator to align the style and tone of the videos with the brand’s goals
Manage and organize video files efficiently to ensure smooth production flow
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a YouTube video editor, specifically in the gaming niche
Strong understanding of editing techniques popular with youth-focused content
Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
Knowledge of motion graphics and animation tools (After Effects, etc.) is a plus
Ability to add visual and audio effects, sound design, and music that complement the gaming genre
Familiarity with YouTube’s algorithms, trends, and viewer retention strategies
Strong creative skills and ability to turn raw footage into engaging, fast-paced content
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Understanding of YouTube SEO, tags, descriptions, and other optimization techniques
Familiarity with streaming platforms like Twitch and how to repurpose live content for YouTube
Experience editing gaming highlights, funny moments, walkthroughs, or tutorials
