Da Vinci Resolve Video Editing
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Hello, I'm looking for an experienced video editor to help with a project using Da Vinci Resolve STUDIO 18.5. The length of the raw footage requiring editing is 1-3 hours. It will already be imported into resolve and I will provide the resolve project file as the footage is in .braw
There are two camera angles for part of it but they are synced so the in/out markers will be the same for those. I will have this file by late Friday.
PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST HAVE DAVINCI RESOLVE STUDIO, not just the free version as the project will not open in the free version.
Please go through the footage and mark ins and outs and trim out any dead space or filler in between takes so that all that is left in the project is usable clips (camera angles still synced) There are some takes that were ruined by background noise/hammering from the other room. These will probably be obvious. Those takes can be discarded.
For the non B-roll footage with the actor, you would mark the in at the beginning of the action and end when the few phrases she is saying are done.
For example:
Filler/prep/dead space/conversation with cameraman/getting into character
(Mark In)
Actor turns head to look at camera and begins dialogue in Southern accent, continues talking for a couple lines
(Mark out)
Actor out of character, section finished,prep for next section
(Mark In)
Actor back in character, a few more lines finishes dialogue, makes a face still in character
(Out)
Actor out of character, prep for next section
No additional content (such as music, voiceover, or graphics) needs to be sourced as I will provide all the necessary content.
If we work well together on this, I will select the best takes from the Ins and outs for the final edit and may hire you for final transitions and green screen alpha edits, But this would be a separate project.
