Video production and editing
Budget: €750 – €1,500 EUR
The International Science Council (ISC) is a non-governmental organization with a global membership that brings together 40 international scientific Unions and Associations and over 140 national and regional scientific organizations including Academies and Research Councils.
We have recordings of a long lecture which need to be cut into shorter sections and have agreed graphics added to the end and beginning of each shorter clip, ready for posting on the ISC's youtube channel.
The original files comprise 3 videos showing powerpoint (with audio of lecturer) of 3 clips of 41 minutes, 41 minutes and 35 minutes (i.e.117 minutes in total). In addition, we have three clips of the same material but with no slides and just the presenter's image and voice (on which the audio quality is poorer), and two clips of the speaker that could be used for additional filler around the beginning and end of the sections.

The specific tasks involved will be:
- Review transcript and ideas from ISC team and suggest where to cut clips in order to make 6-8 short videos; agree with ISC team before editing.
- Combine video of speaker presenting and speaker’s slides from 6 files (I.e. three videos of slides and three videos of the speaker presenting) so that the recording predominantly shows the slides (i.e. not the speaker's face), but that the speaker's face can be seen on occasion, and then cut into 6-8 shorter files (as above)
- On the basis of instructions from the ISC team, remove any images that will need to be removed from footage, and instead add footage of speaker talking during those sections
- Remove existing opening/closing images from original video and add new, agreed, opening and closing graphics to each short clip (an animated version of our logo can be provided for this purpose)
- Provide first cut for review by ISC team, act on any comments and then provide second cut for review and sign off before exporting for publication on youtube and providing files to ISC team
- On the basis of instructions from ISC team (with reference to the transcript), create 6-8 30-second clips for social media (i.e. one per short video; add subtitles and logos).
