About the Role
We are seeking a talented Video Editor (freelance contractor, 40 hours/week) to craft compelling content across all social media platforms and marketing campaigns. As a visual storyteller, you will create high-retention videos, edit with engagement psychology in mind, and stay ahead of industry trends. This is a long-term contract opportunity (12 months, with potential for extension) for someone who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment and is passionate about producing visually captivating content.
Responsibilities
Edit fast, high-retention videos for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, and Facebook Ads.
Edit with psychology, emotion, and engagement in mind.
Stay ahead of trends and innovate with every edit.
Ensure consistent branding across all mediums (colors, fonts, style, motion design).
Utilize pattern interrupts, cuts, B-rolls, graphics, infographics, and animations.
Turn long videos into short clips to maximize content reach.
Use marketing and content analytics to refine and improve videos and performance.
Utilize various AI tools, plugins, and scripts to work faster and better.
Collaborate with producers, marketers, and content creators.
Requirements
Expert at using Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Skilled in After Effects for motion graphics and animations.
Edits quickly while maintaining high quality.
Keeps files and projects well-organized.
Takes feedback well and adjusts editing style as needed.
Understands the brand’s message and what appeals to its audience.
Stays updated on editing trends and new software.
Continuously improves skills through learning and feedback.
Edits based on audience data and retention analytics.
