Video Editor for Music Production Tutorials

**Job Overview:**
We are an audio-visual production house, looking for a creative and technically skilled Video Editor to join our team on a freelance basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing video content focused on music production tutorials. These tutorials are designed to educate budding music producers and audio engineers on a variety of topics including mixing, mastering, sound design and production. This role requires someone with a keen eye for detail and a good understanding of video pacing and storytelling.
!Knowledge of music production processes and terminology is essential to accurately edit and present tutorial content!

Responsibilities:
**Video Editing:**
  - Edit video footage to create clear, engaging, and visually appealing music production tutorials.
  - Incorporate graphics, effects, and animations to enhance the viewer's understanding of the tutorial content.
  - Sync audio perfectly with video, ensuring clear sound quality and proper alignment of audio with visual cues.

- **Post-Production:**
 - We will provide color-graded footage.
- We will provide post-processed audio.
  - Compress and render files to meet specific platform requirements without compromising quality.
  - Add text overlays, lower thirds, and other textual elements to videos to highlight key points.

- **Collaboration and Feedback:**
  - Work closely with content creators to achieve the desired educational and aesthetic outcomes.
  - Implement feedback from collaborative reviews to refine video presentations.
  - Suggest creative ideas to improve content delivery through visual elements.

- **Quality Control:**
  - Ensure all tutorials are free of errors, including checking for continuity issues and ensuring audio clarity.
  - Maintain an organized archive of all video assets and final outputs.
  - Stay updated with the latest trends in video production techniques and software.

**Requirements:**
- Proven experience as a Video Editor with a portfolio showcasing your work.
- Strong proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Experience with graphics and effects software such as Adobe After Effects.
- Sound understanding of color grading and audio editing.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- An eye for detail and a passion for making creative content.
- Good communication skills and responsiveness to feedback.
- A high-end computer rig capable of handling large video files
- A fast internet connection for efficient uploading and downloading of heavy footage.

**Preferred Skills:**
- Experience creating educational content, particularly in video format.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.

**Education:**
- A degree in Film, Communication, Media Studies, or related field is preferred but not essential with relevant experience.

**Project Duration**
This is a long-term position as we are constantly producing and filing tutorials.
