Video Editor - Long Term

We are seeking skilled video editors to join our team for ongoing work editing YouTube videos. This position has the potential to become a long-term engagement for the right candidate. Our ideal editor should be proficient in using Final Cut Pro X (FCPX) or DaVinci Resolve, with preference given to those with experience in FCPX. They should also have a strong understanding of YouTube-style content creation and short-form video editing. Motion graphics experience is a plus. It is essential that applicants have their own access to Final Cut Pro X or DaVinci Resolve (free version is fine) software. All projects must be turned around in 48 hours or less. Please note that work is on an as-needed basis and may not be immediately available

Responsibilities:
- Edit YouTube videos to enhance visual appeal, engagement, and overall quality.
- Implement creative and effective editing techniques to maintain viewer interest.
- Integrate motion graphics when necessary to enhance video content.
- Ensure consistency in branding, style, and messaging across all videos.
- Collaborate closely with the content team to understand project requirements and deliver videos that meet objectives.
- Complete editing tasks within specified deadlines.
- Occasionally, be prepared to work on additional projects such as reels or promotional videos.

Requirements:
- Proficiency in Final Cut Pro X or DaVinci Resolve is essential; applicants must have their own access to the software.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Final Cut Pro X.
- Proven experience in editing YouTube videos and short-form content.
- Strong understanding of YouTube trends, audience preferences, and best practices.
- Creative mindset with the ability to bring fresh ideas to the table.
- Motion graphics experience is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency in editing style.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members remotely.
- Reliable and able to meet deadlines consistently.
- Portfolio showcasing previous work in YouTube video editing, particularly highlighting motion graphics experience if applicable.
