Editor (Premiere Pro) - Youtube Documentary
Location: Remote

Are you a talented and creative video editor with a passion for storytelling through documentary-style content? Do you have expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and the ability to craft engaging and visually compelling videos? If so, we want you to join our team as a Remote YouTube Video Editor!
Responsibilities:
- Edit and assemble raw footage, along with a Google Doc containing images, clips, and B-roll, into polished, high-quality documentary-style videos for our YouTube channel.
- Collaborate with our content team to understand the narrative and vision for each video project. It’s important that you are able to edit in the same style as our other editors to create a consistent style e.g. using the correct fonts, formatting images, and clips in the same way as the other editors etc.
Implement creative editing techniques to enhance storytelling and maintain viewer engagement. For example, using sound effects and well-timed music choices to build suspense and dramatic crescendos.
- Ensure seamless audio integration, consistent sound levels between narration and clips, as well as ensuring high overall video quality.
- Meet deadlines and deliver a consistent output of high-quality videos/chapters.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro with a strong understanding of video editing techniques. It’s important you are able to maintain properly formatted project files that can be packaged up and exported to other editors working on different aspects of the documentary.
- Experience editing documentary-style videos; a portfolio showcasing previous work is highly desirable. Ideally Youtube informational style documentaries. Channels like SunnyV2, Patrick CC, Magnates Media, or Jake Tran are good examples.
- Excellent storytelling and narrative skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, meeting project deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the content team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with YouTube content creation and optimization.
- A passion for documentary films and filmmaking. We’re inspired by people like Michael Moore and Louis Theroux.
- Experience working in a remote environment. Role is fully remote but we expect high levels of responsiveness and participation in
- Zoom meetings with the Director and other editors.
- Passion for the subject matter of our content: True Crime, Gangsta Rap/ Drill Music/ Celebrity Drama/ Video Autobiographies.
