Shoot Retro 70s Expo Scene

Job ID: 40488642

Budget: $5,000 – $10,000 USD

I’m producing a 30-second online commercial that has to feel as though it were lifted straight out of a late-1970s computer show. Picture half a dozen to ten self-confessed geeks—men and women—clustered around a booth, proudly unveiling their groundbreaking “new” machine à la Steve Jobs at an Apple II launch.

The location must read instantly as a buzzing computer-show exhibit: branded backdrops, period-appropriate signage, tubes and CRT monitors, maybe a banner. Wardrobe, props, and lighting all need to scream 1977, from oversized glasses to beige plastics and avocado-green carpeting.

I’m after natural, lively performances rather than campy caricature. The product demo should be the clear focal point, with the crowd leaning in, exchanging excited glances, and one lead presenter guiding the narrative. Total screen time after editing is thirty seconds, so energy and pacing are crucial.

We have a script.

Deliverables
• Fully edited 30-second spot, graded for an authentic 70s film look
• Clean master file in 4K (ProRes or comparable) plus a web-ready H.264 version
• All synced raw footage and audio for archival use
• Full usage rights for online advertising

Please factor in a simple period-correct set build or dressing, basic sound capture (enthusiastic chatter layered with VO to be added later), and two quick revision passes after the first cut. I’m flexible on your preferred camera package and crew size as long as the final piece instantly transports viewers to that golden age of garage-built innovation.
