Scriptwriting and Editing for Documentary Film

Job ID: 38417095

Budget: $250 – $1,500 USD

I have filmed a documentary in Japan about an exceptional individual dedicated to preserving retro Japanese video games. This project includes a wealth of footage and an interview with the subject. I am seeking assistance with both scriptwriting and editing the documentary to ensure a polished final product.

Scope of Work:
1. Scriptwriting:
- Develop a compelling and cohesive narrative for the documentary based on the available footage and interview content.
- Create a script that effectively conveys the significance of the preservation work and the impact of the subject's efforts.

2. Video Editing:
- Edit the raw footage into a professional documentary style, including integrating interview segments, visuals of the video games, and any relevant B-roll.
- Ensure the final cut aligns with the script and maintains a high standard of storytelling.

Release Schedule: I typically release my videos weekly on Fridays, though they can sometimes be as early as Thursday or as late as Saturday.

Timeline of Video Releases:
August 2024: Dates to be confirmed.
Week of November 1st and 29th
Week of December 6th and 13th

Note: Some dates may change, and availability in December might be impacted by the holidays. I will provide updates as necessary.

I will be placing all the footage into a Final Cut Pro project file, as I use Final Cut Pro for editing. I hope to collaborate with the video editor/freelancer in this format.

Your assistance with scriptwriting and editing would be invaluable in bringing this documentary to completion.
