Repair Corrupted MP4 Recording

Job ID: 39857308

Budget: $10 – $50 USD

I recorded my screen last night with the built-in OS screen recorder and ended up with an MP4 that will open but instantly throws an error instead of playing. I’m not sure what cut the recording short—maybe a power hiccup or software glitch—yet the file size suggests the footage is still there.

Your job is to salvage as much of the video and audio as possible and hand back a file that plays smoothly in a standard player. I’m fine with you using any method that works—FFmpeg, Untrunc, VLC CLI, hex-level fixes—so long as the final result is viewable.

Deliverables
• Repaired MP4 (same resolution and frame rate, or closest achievable)
• Brief outline of the steps/tools used so I can replicate the fix if needed

If only partial recovery is realistic, let me know the exact duration you can rescue before you start exporting. I’ll test the repaired clip right away and release payment once I can watch it end to end without errors. Quick turnaround would be ideal, as the content is time-sensitive.
