Real Estate Listing Video Editor Needed
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I'm a real estate professional and I need a skilled video editor to turn my raw video clips and property photos into polished, professional listing videos that are designed to perform on social media. I need someone who understands both clean production quality and what makes content stop the scroll and get shared.
What I'll Provide:
Raw video footage of the property (exterior and interior), high-resolution photos, property details (location, features, pricing, key selling points), branding elements (logo, contact info, colour palette, fonts).
Deliverables Per Property:
Main Video — 60–90 seconds long. Landscape version (16:9) for YouTube and website. Vertical version (9:16) for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts. Square version (1:1) for Facebook feed — optional but preferred. Format: MP4, H.264 codec, minimum 1080p.
Short Teaser Cut — 15–30 seconds, optimised for virality. Delivered in vertical (9:16) format. This should be designed as a standalone hook, not just a trimmed version of the main video.
Supporting Assets — Thumbnail frame or cover image for each format. Project file or editable version delivered upon completion.
Creative Direction & Edit Style:
Hook — The first 3 seconds are non-negotiable. Must grab attention immediately. Use a dramatic opening shot, bold text overlay, a reveal moment, or a pattern interrupt. Think: "Would I stop scrolling for this?" If the answer is no, redo it.
Pacing & Transitions — Cinematic but snappy. No shot should linger too long. Speed ramps, smooth gimbal-style movement, match cuts, and beat-synced transitions. Should feel like an aspirational lifestyle showcase, not a slideshow. Clean and modern throughout — no heavy filters, lens flares, or distracting effects.
Sound & Music — Royalty-free music that feels modern, energetic, and on-trend — the kind of track you'd hear on a viral reel. Music should complement, not overpower the visuals. Subtle sound effects where appropriate (whooshes on transitions, ambient room sounds). Must be able to accommodate a voiceover track if I provide one.
Text & Captions — Bold on-screen text for key selling points — most viewers watch on mute. Text overlays with property details: bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, price, location. Text animations should be clean, readable, and modern — not generic template text. No cluttered screens — let the visuals breathe.
Colour & Grading — Colour correction across all clips and photos for visual consistency. Light, natural grading that makes spaces look bright and inviting.
Branding & Call to Action — Logo, contact details, and brand colours integrated consistently. End screen with a clear call to action (call, message, visit website).
Social Media Awareness:
You must be familiar with current real estate video trends on Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. I want videos that look and feel like content people already engage with on these platforms — not corporate marketing material. I'll share reference accounts and videos upon hiring so we're aligned on style.
Confidentiality:
Some properties may not yet be publicly listed. You must be willing to sign a simple NDA if required and not share or post any content without my written approval.
To Apply, Please Include:
2–3 samples of property or real estate videos you've edited. At least one video that got strong engagement (views, shares, likes) — I want proof it performs, not just that it looks clean. Your turnaround time for one video. Your rate per video, and whether you offer bulk pricing for ongoing work. Which editing software you use. Confirmation that you can handle ongoing, regular work — this is not a one-off project.
Timeline: [e.g. 3–5 business days per video]
Ongoing relationship preferred. I list properties regularly and need a reliable editor I can count on.
