"Raise the Ring" - Gym Fundraiser Video Editing
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
Project: "Raise the Ring" – Madness Gym Fundraising Video Series
We’re seeking a skilled video editor to help craft a series of compelling videos that support our "Raise the Ring" fundraiser for Madness Gym, a community combat sports facility in El Nido, Palawan.
Overview
Madness Gym is more than just a gym — it’s a lifeline for many in our community. We’ve filmed interviews with Rusty (our founder), clients, and families who’ve been directly impacted by our free outreach programs. Our mission is to finish building the gym and expand our programs for local youth, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds.
Story Arc
At the heart of this project is Rusty’s powerful personal story. He grew up in poverty, spending much of his childhood on the streets with no guidance, no structure, and no real support system. Life was unstable, and the odds were stacked against him. But everything began to shift when he discovered martial arts. Boxing and Muay Thai gave Rusty discipline, purpose, and most importantly—hope.
Though he never had access to proper training facilities or mentors growing up, he dreamed of what his life could’ve been if he had someone in his corner. That dream has now evolved into Madness Gym: a community-focused space that gives local kids the chance he never had.
Now, Rusty is building the very thing he needed as a child—a safe place where kids can train for free, find mentorship, stay off the streets, and build confidence through combat sports. Madness Gym isn’t just a gym; it’s a second chance for youth in El Nido who otherwise wouldn’t have access to this world.
This is more than a fundraiser—it’s a legacy project, rooted in Rusty’s journey from the streets to becoming a coach, leader, and role model for the next generation.
