Podcast Editor for English Conversational Podcast – Ongoing Work
Budget: $70 – $120 AUD
About the Role
I’m looking for a skilled podcast editor to handle the editing and publishing process for my weekly English conversational podcast. This is an ongoing role requiring basic clean-up editing, video & audio processing, and uploading/scheduling episodes across YouTube, Spotify, and my website.
Scope of Work
? Editing Requirements:
✔️ Basic clean-up: Remove long pauses, filler words ("um," "uh"), and small talk at the start and end
✔️ Apply Studio Sound (not at full strength—just enough to remove echo and white noise)
✔️ Maintain the natural flow of conversation
✔️ No background music, ad insertions, or heavy editing required
? Intro & Outro:
✔️ Video podcast: Use my existing YouTube intro & outro
✔️ Audio podcast: Use my existing audio intro
? Export & Uploading:
✔️ Video podcast → Upload & schedule directly to YouTube
✔️ Audio podcast → Export WAV file, manually upload & schedule on Spotify
✔️ Episode description → Use the Descript transcript to create a consistent episode description (I will provide samples)
✔️ Squarespace Blog Post → Create a podcast blog page & schedule the episode on my website
? Promotional Reel:
✔️ I will choose the section for the promo reel
✔️ Your job: Copy the Descript project, edit the section, and save it in Google Drive
✔️ Write the Instagram caption (I will handle posting)
? Scheduling & Turnaround:
✔️ Episodes air every Tuesday at 2:15 PM IST (video & audio)
✔️ Squarespace blog post scheduled for Tuesday at 2:30 PM IST
✔️ Turnaround: Work must be completed at least 1 week before release
What I Provide

✅ Example episode descriptions
✅ Google Drive access for promo reel
✅ Squarespace & YouTube team member access
Ideal Candidate:
? Experienced podcast/video editor (Descript experience preferred)
? Understands conversational editing (not over-edited, just polished)
? Strong attention to detail – Keeps my brand tone & episode structure consistent
? Reliable & meets deadlines
? Comfortable working independently with minimal revisions (max 2 rounds)
Payment & Commitment
✔️ Flat rate per episode (Episodes range from 45 mins to 1 hour—price stays the same)
✔️ Ongoing, long-term work (weekly episodes)
✔️ Must be available to meet deadlines & deliver consistently
