Part-Time Video Editor - Contract - 20-30hrs/wk
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
We are a dynamic and award-winning post-production company with a passion for film and video post-production. Our portfolio spans a diverse range of projects, including narrative feature films, documentaries, music videos, corporate web content, and broadcast media. We believe in creating impactful story-driven content using classical film-based editing, sound, and color processing techniques.
We are currently seeking a deadline-driven, entry-level contract Junior Level Video Editor who shares our vision and enthusiasm for post-production. Preferred candidates will have technical knowledge of video editing systems and a working knowledge of standard video editing practices and deliverable formats. This position is contract and pays an average of $25-30/hr on a per-project basis. Ideal candidates will be junior-level editors who are trying to gain experience and build a portfolio.
Required Skills:

Synchronizing audio and video
Cutting and trimming video clips
Creating custom transitions
Color correction and grading
Stabilization of footage
Editing audio tracks
Selecting & incorporating background music
Recording and integrating voiceovers
Adding text, captions, and titles
Creating 2D animations
Green screen (chroma keying)
Implementing audio effects
Keyframe animations
Multi-camera editing
Exporting and rendering deliverables
Compression and encoding for various platforms
Aspect ratio conversion
Noise reduction in audio
Audio mixing
Collaborating and incorporating feedback
Archiving and file management
Quality control and error-checking
Qualifications:
A profound love for cinema and music, combined with a willingness to delve into the trenches of video post-production.
Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.).
Knowledge of Davinci Resolve is a significant plus.
Strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
