Freelance Music Content Creator / Interviewer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a young, dynamic, and highly motivated freelance content creator to join our team for a series of video interviews with upcoming artists. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for music and a natural ability to connect with people. You will be responsible for the end-to-end production of short-form video interviews, from research and outreach to filming and editing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Research & Outreach: Identify and research a curated list of emerging artists across various genres. Proactively reach out to artists and their teams to arrange and schedule interviews.
* Interviewing: Conduct engaging, energetic, and thoughtful video interviews. You must be comfortable leading the conversation, asking insightful questions, and putting interviewees at ease.
* Filming: Act as the primary camera operator, ensuring high-quality video and audio capture for all interviews. This includes setting up lighting and sound to achieve a professional look and feel.
* Video Editing: Take raw footage and edit it into a final polished video for distribution on digital platforms. This includes cutting, color correction, adding graphics, and incorporating music to match the brand's style.
* Content Strategy: Contribute to the creative process by suggesting interview topics, content ideas, and ways to present the final video in an engaging and shareable format.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Enthusiasm & Passion: A genuine and infectious passion for a wide range of music genres, with an eagerness to discover and promote new talent. This enthusiasm should be evident on camera.
* On-Camera Presence:
* Confident and Presentable: Possess a natural on-camera presence with a professional, yet energetic and personable demeanor.
* Witty & Engaging: Able to think on your feet, ask witty questions, and make the conversation flow naturally.
* Technical Skills:
* Video Production: Access to and proficiency with a good quality camera (e.g., DSLR, mirrorless camera, or advanced smartphone with pro-level capabilities) and high-quality audio recording equipment (e.g., lavalier microphones or shotgun mics).
* Video Editing: Competency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or even mobile apps like CapCut).
* Organizational Skills:
* Self-Motivated: Able to work independently to research, schedule, and complete projects within deadlines.
* Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for artist outreach and collaboration.
