IFBB Bikini Pro Documentary - Seasoned Videographer Wanted

Job ID: 40168166

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Documentary Collaboration – Los Angeles

Videographer / Editor (Film Student or Emerging Creative)

We are seeking a videographer/editor collaborator for a long-form documentary-style YouTube series following a professional female IFBB Bikini Pro athlete making a comeback with the long-term goal of qualifying for the 2027 Olympia.

This project is designed as a collaborative, portfolio-driven opportunity to start, with clear intention and expectation to grow into a paid, long-term role as the series gains traction + views.

Project Overview
This is a character-driven documentary / reality-style series, not a traditional fitness vlog.

Creative references include:
* Lauralie Chapados
* Chris Bumstead
* Sadik Hadzovic

—with a more cinematic, emotionally grounded, female-led storytelling approach.

The series explores not only elite athletic preparation, but the human journey behind it:
* identity and discipline
* faith as an anchor
* a healthy, supportive relationship
* prioritizing family
* the unseen character development required to pursue greatness

Episode One Focus
The first episode is entirely storytelling-based.
Rather than starting with training footage, Episode One recreates and weaves together the small, quiet moments — the seeds planted over time — that eventually led to the decision to pursue this dream again.

This episode sets the emotional foundation for the entire series.

Long-Term Arc
The broader journey follows:
* training, food, posing, and prep
* Flashbacks of previous YouTube vlogs (taking old footage that is online) to for storytelling purposes + weaving in the old with the new. Then vs now.
* check-ins, setbacks, dedication, and growth
* Coaches, trainers, bodywork specialists, etc.
* Using the 2026 season to build a competitive physique
* Stepping on stage early 2027
* The goal: gaining Olympia qualification to step on the Olympia stage in September 2027

The athlete has previously generated hundreds of thousands of views, and her audience will be highly invested in this comeback. This series is expected to gain significant organic traction as the story unfolds.

As the series grows (which is expected), this role is intended to transition into an ongoing position.

Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for one primary collaborator who:
* Can edit footage provided
* Can film on-site in Los Angeles as needed
* Open to potential travel if an aligned fit
* Has strong storytelling instincts (pace, tone, emotion)
* Is interested in documentary or narrative-driven work
* Wants to collaborate creatively, not just execute tasks

This is ideal for a film student or emerging filmmaker seeking meaningful, long-term work rather than one-off gigs.

What’s Offered
* Portfolio-worthy documentary content
* Credits on all episodes
* Creative input and storytelling collaboration
* Long-form project continuity
* Opportunity to grow into a paid, long-term role as the series scales
* Potential future travel and expanded responsibilities if the collaboration is a strong fit
* Access to a professional athlete where natural mentorship will occur by proximity
* Incredible networking as the series unfolds + natural collaborations happen between the athlete + her associates.

How We’ll Start

We will begin with:
* Episode One as a test project
* Clear creative alignment before committing.
* Initial commitments will be month to month.
* If alignment is there, then there will be a longer commitment available.

Please note:
This project follows the journey of a professional athlete who lives and breathes excellence. The standard here is consistency, discipline, and follow-through. We’re looking for someone who is willing to show up prepared, communicate clearly, and give their best effort. If you’re not ready to match that level of dedication or take ownership of your work, this may not be the right fit. If you are, expect to be challenged and inspired, proximity to this level of dedication naturally elevates your own work ethic, standards, and sense of what’s possible in life, it will elevate you in every way.

To Apply
Please send:
1. 1–3 samples of relevant work (student projects welcome)
2. Why and how would this collaboration benefit you in your filmmaking journey right now?
3. A brief response to:
What draws you to documentary storytelling?
4. Do you know anything about the world of bodybuilding/ fitness+ health? (Not required)

Location: Los Angeles

This project is best suited for someone excited by long-term storytelling, real human transformation, and building something meaningful from the ground up.
