House Restoration Video Creation
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
Looking for a video creator to produce a narrative-style video showcasing the process of our house restoration from an owner/builder perspective. The video will include interviews with myself, my wife (home owners), my uncle (person who contributed a ton to all the work we did) and potentially one or two of our contractors, and should effectively highlight the renovation journey.
Key aspects of the project:
- Narrative w/ interviews: my goal is to help other people considering taking on owner/builder projects on their own. Identify points of consideration, what to expect from our experiences and go through each subject and identify important experiences and/or knowledge we've found from this process.
- Videos/pictures to support our goal: We have approximately 1200 pictures though maybe 25 videos to add to this video. We have yet to "film" the videos where we wanted to explain each point outlined in this project description as we wanted to let the professionals give us guidance.
- Showcasing the renovation process: The primary purpose of the video is to highlight the various stages of the renovation and help anyone figure out their situation, understand the scope of what they are taking on, etc...
Ideal skills and experience for the job:
- Prior experience in creating narrative-style videos, particularly those featuring interviews
- Strong storytelling abilities
- Good understanding of video editing software
- Creative mindset to visually present the renovation process in an engaging way.
- Proficiency in sound design to enhance the video experience with appropriate audio elements.

The desired length of the video is 10-20 minutes. The video should have a realistic and detailed tone, focusing on the nitty-gritty aspects of the renovation. The video should use a documentary-style visual approach to keep it informative and realistic.
