Horror Movie Editing & VFX

I am seeking a skilled film editor to work on a horror movie project. This is a SLASHER film. The editing work involves comprehensive film editing from scratch, so sequencing all the shots in order of the script and doing all the primary editing work (cutting on action etc.) as well as sound design, music, special effects/CGI/VFX and COLOR GRADING.The film includes numerous blood and gore scenes, so adeptness in creating realistic blood splatter and punctures is crucial. Additionally, special effects will be needed to digitally extend a blade or knife.

Key Responsibilities:
- Properly edit the film from scratch using DaVinci Resolve
- Integrate practical effects with VFX
- Create and blend sound design, focusing predominantly on the music score, but also having good detail for the other sounds in the film(stabbing, flesh getting cut, blood squirmy squishy sound effects etc)
- Incorporate and design special effects/CGI/VFX for various scenes

Ideal skills and experience for the job:
- Proficient in DaVinci Resolve
- Extensive experience in film editing, particularly horror movies
- Skilled in sound design, especially creating and blending music scores
- Proficient in creating and blending practical effects with CGI/VFX(can use your preferred choice of software for VFX)
- Experience in creating realistic special effects for blood and gore scenes
- Able to digitally extend objects convincingly
- Color grade the film
