Freelancer Job Posting: YouTube Video Editor (Long-Term Position)

We are looking for a talented and reliable video editor to join our team for a long-term position, focusing on creating visually engaging content for an interview/investigation-type YouTube channel. The ideal candidate will have experience editing long-form videos with quick transitions and engaging visuals, as well as creating attention-grabbing YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels.
Thumbnails are a bonus, but not a requirement. If you have experience creating high-quality, clickable thumbnails, please include samples with your application.
Responsibilities:
Edit around 4 long-form YouTube videos per month with a focus on audience retention and visual appeal.
Create multiple YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels from existing footage.
Collaborate to ensure videos align with the channel style and tone.
Meet reasonable deadlines while maintaining high-quality edits.
Requirements:
Proven experience in video editing (experience with creators is a bonus, but not required).
Ability to edit engaging, fast-paced videos with smooth transitions.
Familiarity with platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and their content formats.
Must provide examples of:
Long-form videos you have edited.
Shorts or Reels you have created.
Any thumbnails you designed (if applicable).
Reliability and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
