"Everyday People" Weekly Interview Series Videographer
Budget: $30 – $250 NZD
I'm looking for a video editor to collaborate on a YouTube series, where we would conduct weekly interviews with everyday people. Each week, we uncover the unique stories and experiences of different individuals, bringing their perspectives into the public eye and bring 3,4,5 or 6 3 minute interviews together into one show called HOT LINE.
The show is filmed like a chat show one interviewer interviewing someone for 3/6 mins, then the next, next interview. The interviewer will have a research assistant that has control of a giant tv screen behing the interview. The research assistant will take calls from people, pop up zoom meetings, show social media feeds and pop up relevent content about the interview to make the interview exciting and sticky and interactive. I have a video of this but the file is too big for freelancer.
Scope of Work:
- We will Film 3,4,5, 6 X 3 minute interviews, depending on how many people we can get to attend each week.
- Video editing, including any special effects to more effectively convey the story of the individual.
Ideal Skills:
- Exceptional videography, able to capture the unique nuances and personalities of our interviewees
- Strong video editing skills
- Proficiency in producing interview or 'person on the street' type content.
- Ability to meet a weekly video production deadline, approx 30 mins of content, in 6 x 3min interviews put together into one show, but also in seperate interviews.
We have done something similar in Australia in the following times.
1. One off task - Create a short intro segment for The HOTLINE show - Hot issues that need discussing in Wellington that will then be used to promote the interviews coming up, to get people excited, to subscribe, join up etc.. (4 hours initially to create)
2. Weekly task - Recieve the footage on Friday at 3pm, and create The HOTLINE show ready to upload on Sunday at 10am. (4/5 hours to join all interviews, create the show, create individial interviews, add animations and add intro and exit)
3. Weekly task - Along the bottom create a timeline with text showing what the interviewer and interviewee are saying in text, add the name of the next person to be interviewed/coming up to keep viewers engaged.
4. Weekly task - Add animations or text to highlight moments to engage the viewer.
5. Weekly task - Edit the short snack trailer, approx 7/14 seconds showing all the people we will interview in this weeks HOTLINE. (30 mins to update each week)
6. Weekly task - Add a 10 sec airoplane exit segment that is allready created. We will share.
7. Weekly task - Break up and produce each interview, put the intro and exit on each interview and provide a short 3 to 7 sec snack of one of the best questions and responses as a trailor for the interview (20 mins each).
Weekly tasks
You upload to our Wellington live you tube channel.
Spend 1 hour each week looking for ways to distribute and promote the show to get HOT LINE widely viewed/clicked on.
Looking forward to bringing to life authentic and intimate interviews & stories of everyday people. Excited to see the expertise, reach and engagement you could bring to our project!
We will need to find a way to share footage and communicate.
Anticipated timing.
One off tasks are approx 6 hours and to produce one show is approx 4/5 hours and 20 mins to produce each interview x 6 approx 2 hours.
We need you to create a great show and help market and make it famous.
If you can do Wellington we will give you other cities.
