Create a series of films
Budget: €10,000 – €20,000 EUR
Objectives
The International Science Council is commissioning the creation of six films around six projects in the Transformations to Sustainability programme. In addition, there will be a single documentary film about Transformation to Sustainability: what it means and how we get there.
The films will:
Raise awareness of the projects within the T2S programme and give a voice to the researchers around the world; especially in the global south.
Investigate the meaning of ‘transformation’ and ‘sustainability’ and highlight the complexities of each in a dynamic and changing world.
Form part of the dialogue in the run-up to COP26 and the Convention on Biological Diversity 2021.
Each short film will feature two interviewees: ideally a principal investigator and a colleague from the Global South. The films will give nuance to the complexities faced by the particular transformation being addressed and give viewers a better understanding of the roadmap, including barriers, to transformation being achieved.
One longer film (5-10-minutes duration) will look at ‘transformation’ and ‘sustainability’ in general and address the complex issues of: how to achieve transformation in a changing world, whether we are making progress in achieving transformation, whether transformation is the right pathway for all people and societies and how to devise policies to support transformation.
The films should look as though they are part of a series and use the established style of T2S and International Science Council.
Deliverables
• 6 x 2-5 minute programme films: high definition for website / YouTube
• 1 x 5-10 minute Transformation film: high definition for website / YouTube
• Each of the films will also be cut-down for social media:
Short versions for Twitter with subtitles,
Square versions for Facebook with subtitles,
‘Portrait’ versions for Instagram with subtitles
