MachX02 High Resolution 2.5 ns/400 MHz Sequence Generation
Develop a VHDL program that outputs two preprogrammed sequences to 6 pins. One sequence is triggered on the rising edge and the other on the falling edge. Each sequence is 200 ns long, with 4 transitions and a target timing resolution of at most 2.5 ns per transition. Each transition must be repeatable to within 500 ps.
The propagation delay between an input applied to the FPGA and a change in outputs observed must be less than 50 ns.
The timing information must be easily adjustable, i.e. by changing a parameters file.
Experience with MachX02 FPGA, Lattice Diamond and high speed design. Please bid only if you can meet these requirements.
Deliverables:
1. A working code base with clear comments.
2. Associated Lattice Diamond project files.
3. A short design report on the code base listing the limitations and suggesting possible improvements to the code, especially to the time resolution. The report should be approximately 2 pages.
