Project Posting — Cannabis Packaging Illustrator (Vector Redraw for Print)
About Us
Black Flag Cannabis is a Canadian pirate-themed seed brand. We’re preparing to launch with two strains (Blue Macaw and Treasure Island). Our draft artwork is complete — now it must be professionally redrawn and refined into scalable, print-ready vector files for custom mylar bags.
⸻
Scope of Work
We are NOT looking for new ideas or logos. The creative direction is set. We need:
• Redrawing of existing draft artwork into vector format (AI/PSD). Every element must be crisp, scalable, and suitable for print.
• Color correction and palette consistency: ensure vibrant tones that match our draft but are properly separated for CMYK printing.
• Linework refinement: sharpen edges, clean details, remove artifacts from the draft render.
• Typography polish: adjust letterforms (provided font or close match) so spacing and alignment look professional on bags.
• Layout for packaging: front/back placement, trim, bleed, and safe zones observed (final bag size specs will be provided).
• Consistency across strains: compass, ship, skull, and other brand motifs must look unified when compared side by side.
⸻
What We’re NOT Looking For
• A rebrand, new logo, or clip-art substitutes.
• Designers who only do generic logos.
• Stock graphics or “creative reinterpretations.”
⸻
Deliverables
• Final vector files (.AI, .PSD).
• Print-ready PDFs with trim, bleed, and safe margins.
• Clean packaged files with all fonts linked/outlined.
⸻
Budget & Timeline
• Budget: $200 CAD for the first strain (Blue Macaw).
• Timeline: 1–2 weeks.
• Ongoing work: Treasure Island + additional strains for the right designer.
⸻
Requirements
• At least one packaging design in your portfolio that went to print.
• Demonstrated ability to redraw concept art into clean vector.
• Familiarity with CMYK and packaging production standards.
⸻
How to Apply
• Describe your process for redrawing artwork for print — how do you go from draft to vector to final?
• Show 2–3 samples of packaging or detailed illustration work (not logos).
• Confirm you can deliver in AI, PSD, and PDF formats with bleed.
Applications without the process description + packaging samples will be ignored.
