Tarot Journal Cover Illustrations

Job ID: 39886727

Budget: $250 – $750 AUD

I’m about to roll out the first product line for my D&D-inspired stationery brand: A5 hardcover journals that showcase original tarot-card artwork on their covers. I need twelve distinct card illustrations that feel like a cohesive deck, rooted in classic fantasy yet open to your personal style.

You’ll receive a comprehensive brief for each card—symbolism, key motifs, lore references—so you can concentrate on bringing the imagery to life. The prints will be stamped in metallic foil (gold, silver, or holographic), which means the art must rely on clean, high-contrast line work and solid shapes rather than gradients or heavy textures. Think bold vector engraving, delicate hatching, and shapes that read well in a single colour.

Deliverables
• 12 print-ready illustrations supplied as AI, PDF, or SVG (vectors preferred) plus 300 dpi PNG previews
• Artboard size 148 × 210 mm (A5) with 3 mm bleed, all strokes outlined, spot-coloured for foil
• Consistent line weight across the set; no detail thinner than 0.2 mm

Acceptance criteria
• Each card follows the brief’s iconography while maintaining a unified style
• Files pass pre-press checks for foil stamping (no over-printing, enclosed paths, correct spot colour)
• Final artwork delivered on the agreed timeline

If crafting mystical, foil-ready tarot cards sounds like your kind of quest, send over a sample of your fantasy or tarot work and let’s begin.
