Retro 80s Arcade Illustration
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I habe a wall (see image) which i want to put an image on printed so need so.eone to do a design.
Its a cocktail arcare retro bar with old arcade games, tapas food. Karaoke and cocktails.
It would be good to have like characters holdi g up the camera sign on a post and others with a cocktail or eating or si ging etc.
We have mario. Galaga. Dig dug. Bubble bobble. Golden axe and pinballs.
It needs to be vector so the printer can resize to large without losi g details and old pixel look too. But not really too pixels.
I’m putting together a vibrant, nostalgia-packed image that feels as if it was lifted straight off the wall of an early-80s arcade. The artwork must lean fully into a Retro 80s cartoon style and burst with bright neon colors—think synthwave pinks, electric blues, and glowing purples that pop on screen or in print.
Front and center I need classic arcade machines rendered with the chunky proportions and exaggerated details you’d expect from that era. Beside them, slot in a few instantly recognisable, iconic arcade characters (Pac-style heroes, space-invader silhouettes, or similar legends of the joystick age) so the scene instantly resonates with anyone who lived through the quarter-drop days.
The final piece should be high-resolution and suitable for both large-format print and social media sharing. A layered source file is essential so I can tweak minor elements later if needed.
Deliverables I’m expecting:
• Full-resolution illustration (minimum 4000 px on the longest side) in PNG.
• Layered source file (PSD or AI) with neatly organised layers.
• A flattened JPG preview for quick reference.
If this sounds like your jam, let’s revive that neon glow together.
