Minimalist Startup Logo Redesign -- 2
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
Our young brand has outgrown its initial logo, so it’s time for a fresh identity that captures our current momentum. The brief is straightforward: a clean, minimalist mark built from abstract shapes and limited to a neutral palette—black, white, and greys. No additional colors or ornate flourishes; the strength should come from smart negative space, balanced geometry, and typography that complements rather than competes with the icon.
Context
• Industry: tech-driven consumer services (think modern, uncomplicated, trustworthy).
• Existing assets: a rough wordmark (vector) and a short style guide outlining spacing and safe-zone rules. I’ll share these files once we kick off.
• Key uses: website header, mobile app splash, social avatars, and print collateral.
Creative Direction
• Minimalist aesthetic—flat design, crisp edges, nothing glossy or 3D.
• Abstract shapes should hint at forward motion or connection without depicting literal objects.
• Neutral color scheme only; create both light-on-dark and dark-on-light variations.
• Typography: sans-serif, open, and legible at small sizes.
Deliverables (all vector-based unless noted)
1. Primary logo (icon + wordmark)
2. Icon-only version
3. Horizontal and stacked orientations
4. Black, white, and grayscale variants
5. Exported assets: .AI, .EPS, .SVG, plus high-res .PNG
6. Basic usage sheet (PDF) summarizing clear space, minimum size, and color values
Acceptance Criteria
✓ Visual consistency across all variations
✓ Scales cleanly from 24 px app icon to large-format print
✓ Passes contrast checks for accessibility (WCAG AA on both light and dark backgrounds)
✓ All text converted to outlines in the final vector files
Timeline is flexible within a week or two, but initial concepts within four days would be ideal. If any clarifications are needed, let me know early so we keep momentum going.
